_ KIZOMBA & SEMBA DE RODA is a new concept created by STUDIO AFRO LATINO - Iris De Brito in April 2011.

Iris shared the idea with the SAL team then and tested it at BATUKE! festival 2011 to a great public response.

It aims to incorporate the element of dancing kizomba in a group structure, very much like Casino de Rueda in Cuba. It's fun, you learn fast and share with dancing friends.

Xmas Family Special Workshop

Picture

With SAL Team

The workshop was an introduction to Kizomba De Roda and we had great fun.

The Kids Mix class was hilarious and they followed directions and demonstrated what they learned at the end of the class.

The Family dance off brought people together in a healthy competition spirit.

 Kuduro com Semba!

Picture
So many of you have asked us to do a Kuduro workshop, so we did it.

Kuduro is such an infectious rhythm and if you're a serious Kizomba dancer you need to know some basic kuduro moves to add to your dancing specially when dancing Semba.

We had a great time and thanks for all of those that came along.

 Salsa Rueda!

Is one of the most fun ways of dancing Salsa! You dance the same moves while a team leader calls for them and you change partner.

In our team we have:

> A Rueda Champion
> Three Salsa qualified teachers

We went though the basics and taught you how to Salsa with other couples. You were definitly in good hands!
